Delaware State Police Arrest Pennsville Man for Felony Assault – Newark

Newark- Delaware State Police arrested Marc R. Miller, 40, of Pennsville, NJ, on criminal charges following an assault Monday morning.

On December 6, 2021, at approximately 5:04 a.m., troopers responded to the Hampton Inn located at 1008 Old Churchmans Road, Newark, for a report of an assault. The investigation determined Marc Miller had an argument with a 40-year-old female acquaintance, which escalated into a physical altercation. During the incident Miller grabbed the victim around the neck and threw her to the ground multiple times. The victim was treated at an area hospital for injuries to her head and neck. Miller was taken into custody by responding troopers in the parking lot of the hotel.

Miller was transported to Delaware State Police Troop 2 and charged with the following crimes:

  • Strangulation (Felony)
  • Offensive Touching

Miller was arraigned in the Justice of the Peace Court #2, and released after posting a $6,100 cash bail.
