**UPDATE-HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION** Notice of Increased Police Presence – New Castle Area

New Castle – Delaware State Police are continuing their investigation into a homicide that occurred early this morning at a New Castle area gas station.

On Thursday October 28, 2021 at approximately 7:58 a.m., troopers responded to the parking lot of Super Fuels, located at 3006 New Castle Avenue for a report of a male lying next to the building. Upon their arrival, the male appeared to have been shot and was pronounced deceased by the New Castle County Paramedics.

The 32-year-old male from Wilmington was transported to the Delaware Division of Forensic Science where an autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause and manner of death. His name is being withheld pending the notification of next of kin.

There is currently no suspect information available.

This remains an active and ongoing investigation being conducted by the Delaware State Police Homicide Unit.
