Milford, DE- Delaware State Police have identified the juvenile who died during a Wednesday night crash on Slaughter Beach Road as Elridge D. Brundge, 2, of Dover.

On October 13, 2021, at approximately 8:05 p.m., a 1998 Toyota Corolla operated by a 72-year-old Milford man was traveling westbound on Slaughter Beach Road, negotiating a slight right curve in the roadway. Elridge was visiting family at a residence on Slaughter Beach Road when for unknown reasons, he was standing in the westbound travel lane of Slaughter Beach Road. A passing motorist stopped in the eastbound travel lane of Slaughter Beach Road, attempting to contact him.
