Troopers Arrest Bridgeville Man in Stolen Vehicle During Traffic Stop- Bridgeville

Bridgeville – Delaware State Police have arrested 57-year-old Gary A. Scott of Bridgeville, DE, in connection with a stolen motor vehicle after a traffic stop Wednesday morning.

On July 21, 2021, at approximately 12:01 a.m., a trooper on patrol in the area of Rodney Village Shopping Center, Dover, observed a red Pontiac Firebird with Maryland registration matching the description of a stolen motor vehicle parked in the shopping center. A computer inquiry confirmed the vehicle was stolen, and the trooper initiated a traffic stop. The sole occupant of the vehicle was identified as Gary A. Scott.

Scott was taken into custody without incident, and transported to Troop 5, where he was processed, and charged with the following crime:

  • Theft of a Motor Vehicle

Scott was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court #7, and committed to Sussex Correctional Institute on a $2,000.00 secured bond.
