Millsboro- A traffic stop on Friday afternoon leads to a Millsboro man’s arrest on multiple active warrants. 

On January 29, 2021, at approximately 1:00 p.m., troopers on patrol on Hillcrest Drive observed a white Chrysler minivan traveling on Hillcrest Drive. Troopers recognized the front seat passenger as 32-year-old Darshon Adkins of Millsboro because they were familiar with him through previous investigations and knew there were multiple active warrants for his arrest. A traffic stop was conducted on Cordrey Road. The 23-year-old male operator and Adkins were taken into custody without incident. During a search incident to arrest, Adkins was found to have approximately 3.23 grams of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and approximately .455 grams of heroin.

Adkins was transported to Troop 4, where he was charged with the following crimes:

•  Manufacture With Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance (Felony)
• Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
• Possession of Marijuana (Civil Violation)

Adkins was arraigned in the Justice of the Peace Court #2, and a $5,600.00 unsecured bond was set. Adkins was released on his own recognizance for the active warrants out of Dagsboro Police Department and Millsboro Police Department. He was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $50,000.00 Administrative Warrant for Violation of Probation.

The 23-year-old male operator of Millsboro was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $9,000.00 Administrative Warrant for Violation of Probation.
