Delaware State Police Investigating Robbery of Dollar Store – Newark

Newark- The Delaware State Police are investigating a robbery that occurred at a Dollar General located in Newark, DE.

The incident occurred on January 14, 2021 at approximately 9:56 p.m., when troopers were dispatched to the Dollar General located at 4126 Ogletown Stanton Road, Newark, for a report of a robbery. Upon arrival, it was learned that two male suspects entered the store. One male suspect approached the sales counter and displayed a handgun, while the second suspect stood watch at the entrance to the store. The first suspect forcibly removed an undisclosed amount of cash from the register and both fled the scene.

There were no injuries as a result of the incident.

There are currently no photos of the suspects available at this time.

The suspects were described as males wearing all dark clothing.
