*Update- Suspect Arrested* Troopers Seeking Public’s Assistance Locating Dover Man for Weapon Charges- Townsend

Townsend- The Delaware State Police have arrested 29-year-old Andrew Parsons of Dover, for Reckless Endangering and related charges.

The incident occurred on December 18, 2020, at approximately 5:23 p.m., when troopers responded to Union Church Road for an incident involving a gun. The investigation determined Parsons engaged in a verbal argument with a 46-year-old male victim at the residence. As the male began walking away from the argument, Parsons fired a single round into the ground several feet from the subject. Parsons then fled the scene.

On December 28, 2020, troopers located Parsons at a residence on Gravesend Road, Smyrna, DE. Parsons was taken into custody without incident and transported back to back to Troop 2 where he was charged with the following:

  • Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony (Felony)
  • Possession of a Firearm Within Ten Years of Prior Conviction (Felony)
  • Reckless Endangering 1st Degree (Felony)

Parsons was arraigned in the Justice of the Peace Court #2 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $45,000 cash bond.
