Troopers Arrest Virginia Men on Felony Drug Charges Following a Traffic Stop- Harrington

Harrington- Delaware State Police arrested 23-year-old James Boone of Suffolk, VA, and 21-year-old Aaron Schrager of Manassas, VA, on felony drug charges following a traffic stop on Thursday.

On November 5, 2020, at approximately 12:40 p.m., troopers conducting a proactive patrol in the area of South DuPont Highway and Delaware Avenue observed a silver Dodge Caravan traveling southbound on South DuPont Highway. The Caravan made an abrupt lane change from the right lane into the left lane without properly signaling. A traffic stop was initiated, and contact was made with the driver of the vehicle, identified as James Boone, and the front-seat passenger, identified as Aaron Schrager. A strong odor of marijuana was detected coming from inside the van, and a criminal investigation ensued. Located in the vehicle was approximately 9,224.69 grams of marijuana and $6,056.00 in suspected drug proceeds. Boone and Schrager were taken into custody without incident and transported to Troop 3.

James Boone was charged with the following crimes:

  • Possession of a Controlled Substance (Felony)
  • Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance (Felony)
  • Conspiracy 2nd Degree (Felony)
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Failure to Signal

Boone was arraigned in the Justice of the Peace Court #7 and released on his own recognizance.

 

                                    Aaron Schrager

Aaron Schrager was charged with the following crimes:

  • Possession of a Controlled Substance (Felony)
  • Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance (Felony)
  • Conspiracy 2nd Degree (Felony)
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Schrager was arraigned in the Justice of the Peace Court #7 and released on his own recognizance.
