Troopers Arrest Georgetown Man for Aggravated Menacing and Weapon Charges – Georgetown
Georgetown- The Delaware State Police have charged 22-year-old Jacob Sprout of Georgetown, DE with Aggravated Menacing and weapon charges after displaying a handgun a male victim.
The incident occurred on October 31, 2020, at approximately 10:10 p.m., when Troopers responded to Screams On The Beach located at 22518 Lewes-Georgetown, Hwy, Georgetown, DE, in reference to a 32 year-old male victim who advised while walking through the haunted attraction he had a handgun pulled on him by one of the employees. Troopers discovered the victim had an altercation with Sprout who was a participant in the attraction. During the physical altercation Sprout pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the victim. The subjects were separated, and Sprout was taken into custody without incident.
Troopers recovered a loaded 9mm handgun with 6 rounds in the magazine.
Sprout was transported back to Troop 4 where he was charged with the following:
- Aggravated Menacing (Felony)
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony (Felony)
Sprout was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court #3 and released on $25,000 unsecured bond.
