Troopers Arrest Townsend Man for Burglary – Middletown

Middletown- The Delaware State Police arrested 40 year-old Gregory Fagley of Townsend for burglary and related charges.

On August 31, 2020, at approximately 12:00 p.m., Troopers were dispatched to the Islamic Society of Delaware located at 486 Boyds Corner Road, Middletown, in reference to a burglary.  Upon arrival, Troopers learned that two lawn mowers and a propane grill were removed from a garage on the property. Further investigation Troopers learned Fagley was hired to perform work at the property, and a week later when the victim/property owner returned. He noticed the two riding lawn mowers and propane grill were missing. Through investigative leads Troopers identified Fagley as the suspect in the burglary.

On September 09, 2020, Fagley was located in front of a local area hospital and taken into custody without incident. Fagley was then transported to Troop 9 where he was charged with the following:

  • Burglary Third Degree – (Felony)
  • Theft
  • Selling Stolen Property

Fagley was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court #2 and released on $4,000.00 unsecured bond.
