Troopers Arrest Lincoln Man for Felony Assault – Lincoln

Lincoln- The Delaware State Police have charged 70 year-old Charles Harrison of Lincoln with Felony Assault after he threatened an acquaintance with a baseball bat.

The incident occurred on August 22, 2020, at approximately 5:30 p.m., when Troopers were dispatched to a residence on Herring Branch Road, Lincoln in reference to an assault.  Upon arrival, Troopers met with a 34 year-old male resident/victim who advised that Harrison punched him in the face for using Harrison’s cellphone. After the assault, Harrison grabbed a baseball bat and began swinging it and threatening the victim. Troopers responded and took Harrison into custody without incident.

The victim suffered an apparent broken nose from the incident and received medical attention on scene by EMS.

Harrison was transported back to Troop 7 where he was charged with the following:

  • Assault Second Degree (Felony)
  • Aggravated Menacing (Felony)
  • Terroristic Threatening
  • Reckless Endangering Second Degree

Harrison was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and released on $18,000 unsecured bond.
