Troopers Apprehend Milton Man Wanted on Felony Charges – Milton

Milton – The Delaware State Police have arrested 20 year-old Harold Stokes-Perry of Milton, DE after apprehending him on outstanding felony charges that led to the discovery of drugs.

On Thursday, July 16, 2020, at approximately 3:09 p.m., Troopers were attempting to locate wanted felon Harold Stokes-Perry who had an active warrant for possession of a firearm.  Troopers observed Harold on the front steps of a residence in the 28000 block of West Spring Side Dr. in Milton, DE, and he immediately ran from them. Troopers chased after him on foot and gave numerous commands to stop. As Harold was fleeing, Troopers observed him throw what appeared to be a bag of crack cocaine. Harold was subsequently taken into custody with the assistance of a Delaware State Police K9 a short distance away.

A search incident to arrest, led to the discovery that Harold was in possession of over $250.00 in suspected drug proceeds, a small black digital scale, two cellular phones, and approximately 3.38 grams of marijuana. Troopers conducted a canvass search for the bag discarded in the foot pursuit, but were unable to locate it.

Harold was transported to a local area hospital where he was treated and released with non-life threatening injuries.

Harold was then transported to Troop 7 where he was charged with the following:

  • Tampering With Physical Evidence (felony)
  • Resisting Arrest
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Disorderly Conduct
  • Possession of Marijuana
  • Criminal Trespass 3rd Degree

Harold was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and committed to the Sussex Community Correctional Center on $4,101.00 cash bond.
