*Update Suspect Arrested* Troopers Attempting To Locate Lewes Man Wanted for Assault After Stabbing – Dagsboro

Dagsboro- The Delaware State Police have arrested 52-year-old Mark Drummond of Lewes, DE for Assault 2nd Degree and related charges.

The initial incident occurred on July 14, 2020, at approximately 4:28 p.m., when Troopers were dispatched to a residence in the 34000 block of Chippewa Drive, Dagsboro, in reference to a stabbing. Drummond had a verbal and physical altercation with a 52 year-old male victim from Dagsboro. During the fight the victim was stabbed in his right arm. Drummond fled the scene immediately after. There was a juvenile in the residence during the incident, but was unharmed. The victim received medical treatment at a local area hospital for his non-life threatening injuries.

Troopers Attempting To Locate Lewes Man Wanted for Assault After Stabbing – Dagsboro

On July 15, 2020, Troopers located Drummond and transported him back to Troop 4, where he was charged with the following crimes:

  • Assault 2nd Degree (Felony)
  • Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony (Felony)
  • Possession of a Deadly Weapon by Person Prohibited (Felony)
  • Endangering the Welfare of a Child

Drummond was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $74,000 cash bond.
