*Update* Burglary Suspect Identified- Wilmington

Wilmington- The Delaware State Police have arrested 46-year-old Timothy R. Jeter of Wilmington, for burglary and theft.

On July 3, 2020, at approximately 12:05 a.m., Jeter entered the old school at St. Helena’s Church where he remained inside for several hours loading food and kitchen equipment onto an industrial cart owned by the church. He exited the school, at approximately 3:00 a.m., pulling the cart and fled on foot towards Bellefonte Avenue.

On July 11, 2020, an individual matching Jeter’s description was located sitting at the bus stop in the area of Philadelphia Pike and Washington Street Extension in front of Delaware State Police Troop 1. Troopers made contact with the individual and confirmed Jeter’s identity. He was taken into custody without incident. Through investigative means it was determined Jeter committed the burglary at St. Helena’s Church.

Jeter was charged with the following crimes:

  • Burglary 3rd Degree (felony)
  • Theft under $1500

He was arraigned in the Justice of the Peace Court and released on a $1,500.00 unsecured bond.
