Troopers Attempting to Locate Newark Man Wanted for Felony Assault and Additional Charges- Newark

Newark– The Delaware State Police are seeking the public’s assistance with locating 39-year-old Alfred F. Zickgraf 3RD of Newark, DE, who is wanted for felony assault and related charges stemming from a physical altercation on Tuesday, June 23, 2020.

At approximately 11:34 p.m., the Delaware State Police responded to CP’s Pub located at 5 Polly Drummond Hill Shopping Center, Newark, for a reported assault. Upon arrival, Troopers discovered Zickgraf was a patron inside CP’s Pub when he became involved in a physical altercation with a 23-year-old male victim from Wilmington. A 36-year-old male patron from Wilmington separated the fight, and Zickgraf exited the establishment and left the area in a car. Zickgraf then returned to CP’s Pub, exited the vehicle with a large stick, and began yelling at people inside the Pub before swinging the stick and smashing the business’s front window. The 36-year-old male from the initial incident exits the bar, and Zickgraf attempts to hit the subject with the large stick. The subject tackles Zickgraf to the ground, and Zickgraf removes a knife he had on his person and cut the individual in the face causing non-life threatening injuries. Zickgraf fled the scene before police arrived.

Both victims refused medical treatment on scene for their injuries.

Troopers have been unable to locate Zickgraf who currently has active warrants out of Troop 6 for the following crimes:

  • Assault 2nd Degree (felony)
  • Assault 3rd Degree
  • Criminal Mischief less than $5,000
  • Disorderly Conduct
