Delaware State Police Arrest Individuals for Looting- Wilmington

Wilmington– The Delaware State Police responded to Walmart at 1251 Centerville Road, Wilmington, for looting reports.

Upon arrival, Troopers took five subjects into custody in or about the store.  The investigation revealed, 26-year-old Lamont Davis of Wilmington, gained access to the store by shattering the front glass with a baseball bat and ramming a shopping cart into the glass doors.  Once inside, Davis removed property without rendering payment and exited the store. At the same time, 31-year-old Traci Roane of Wilmington, 13-year-old Aulyiah Brown of Wilmington, 13-year-old Ahjir Black of Wilmington, and 14-year-old Jaidah Matthews of Wilmington, entered the store and removed an undisclosed amount of property from displays and attempted to exit the store with same.  All property was recovered at the scene and returned to the store.  The total damage sustained by the business was estimated to be over $2,000.00.

(Lamont Davis)

Davis was taken into custody at the scene and transported to Troop 2 where he was charged with the following crimes:
•    Burglary 3rd  Degree (felony)
•    Possession of Burglar Tools (felony)
•    Conspiracy Second Degree (felony)
•    Theft Under $1500
•    Criminal Mischief

Davis was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court and issued a $5,000.00 unsecured bond.

 

(Traci Roane)

Roane was taken into custody and transported to Troop 2 where she was charged with the following crimes:

•    Burglary 3rd Degree (Felony)
•    Conspiracy 2nd Degree (Felony)
•    Theft under $1500
•    Endanger Welfare of Child (3 counts)

Roane was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court and released on a $6,000.00 unsecured bond.

 

(Aulyiah Brown)

Brown was taken into custody and transported to Troop 2 where she was charged with the following crimes:

•    Burglary 3rd Degree (felony)
•    Conspiracy 2nd Degree (felony)
•    Theft under $1500

Brown was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court and Released on Own Recognize.

(Ahjir Black)

Black was taken into custody and transported to Troop 2 where he was charged with the following crimes:

Burglary 3rd Degree (felony)
Conspiracy 2nd Degree (felony)
Theft under $1500

Black was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court and Released on Own Recognizance.

(Jaidah Matthews)

Matthews was taken into custody and transported to Troop 2 where she was charged with the following crimes:

Burglary 3rd Degree (felony)
Conspiracy 2nd Degree (felony)
Theft under $1500

Matthews was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court and Released on Own Recognizance.
