Troopers Charge Magnolia Teen In Connection With Shots Fired Complaints-Magnolia

Magnolia- The Delaware State Police have charged 19-year-old Trey M. Bowden of Magnolia, DE in connection with two shots fired complaints.

On February 2, 2020 at approximately 10:41 p.m., Troopers were dispatched to the unit block of Terry Drive, Magnolia, in reference to a shots fired complaint.  Upon arrival, Troopers discovered that the residence was struck by gunfire.  At the time of this incident, there were seven family members ranging from ages 21-13, inside the residence, all who were unharmed.

On February 9, 2020 at approximately 9:14 p.m., Troopers were dispatched to the same residence on Terry Drive, Magnolia, in reference to another shots fired complaint. Upon arrival, Troopers discovered that the residence had been struck by gunfire for the second time.  At the time of this incident, there were eight family members ranging from ages 66-3, inside the residence, all who were unharmed.

Through investigative measures, Troopers identified Trey Bowden as the suspect.  On May 4, 2020, Bowden who was already in custody at the Department of Corrections was charged with the following:

  • Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
  • Reckless Endanger First Degree (15 counts)
  • Criminal Mischief

Bowden was arraigned on these charges and received $29,700 secured bond.  He remained in custody at the Sussex Correctional Institution.
