*Update- Two Suspects Arrested*-Troopers Investigating Home Invasion-Harbeson

Harbeson- The Delaware State Police have arrested 37-year-old Robin C. Stephens of Rehoboth Beach, and 30-year-old Heather Kenny of Millsboro, in connection with a home invasion that occurred in January 2020.

Through investigative measures, Troopers identified Stephens and Kenny as suspects in the home invasion incident that occurred on January 13, 2020 at approximately 7:42 p.m., at a residence in the 22000 block of Danfield Drive, Harbeson, in which one suspect (Stephens) fired a round striking a wall inside the residence.

On March 12, 2020, a member of the Sussex governor’s Task Force (GTF) observed a vehicle traveling on Avalon Road, Georgetown, that had an equipment violation.  A traffic stop was initiated and Robin Stephens and Heather Kenny were found to be passengers in the vehicle. Kenny initially provided a false name but was immediately identified.  A search of the vehicle was conducted and various items of drug paraphernalia were located throughout the vehicle. Kenny was found in possession of prescription pills without a prescription, approximately 0.441 grams of heroin and drug paraphernalia.  The driver of the vehicle was issued a criminal summons for possession of drug paraphernalia and released.  Stephens and Kenny were taken into custody without incident and transported back to Troop 4 where they were charged with the following:

Robin Stephens:

  • Robbery First Degree
  • Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony
  • Home Invasion Burglary First Degree
  • Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited (2 counts)
  • Assault Second Degree
  • Reckless Endanger First Degree (5 counts)
  • Theft (Felony)
  • Conspiracy Second Degree
  • Reckless Endangering Second Degree
  • Criminal Mischief

Stephens was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $184000.00 secured bond.

Heather Kenny:

  • Robbery First Degree
  • Home Invasion Burglary First Degree
  • Conspiracy Second Degree
  • Possession With Intent To Deliver a Controlled Substance
  • Possession of  any Prescription Drug not a Controlled Substance Without a Prescription
  • Criminal Impersonation
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (2 counts)

Kenny was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and committed to the Delores J. Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on $21000.00 secured bond.
