*Update-Suspect Wanted* Troopers Investigating Shooting – Georgetown

Georgetown- The Delaware State Police are seeking the public’s assistance in attempting to locate 33-year-old Alvaro E. Marroquinn of North Versailles, PA who is wanted in connection with a shooting incident.

The incident occurred on February 1, 2020 at approximately 3:56 a.m., when EMS was dispatched to the 100 block of Garden Circle, Georgetown for an unknown medical emergency.  Upon arrival, EMS located a 39-year-old female in an orange Toyota Tacoma suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound.  The victim was transported by EMS to the Sussex Bayhealth Hospital and later transferred to the Christiana Hospital in serious condition. 

Through investigative measures, Alvaro Marroquinn was developed as a suspect.  Troopers have been unable to locate Marroquinn who currently has active warrants out of Troop 4 for the following:

  • Assault First Degree
  • Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
