Georgetown- The Delaware State Police have located and arrested 27-year-old Jaydeem S. Maddox of Georgetown, DE who was wanted in connection with a burglary.
On January 23, 2020, Troopers responded to a residence in the 29000 block of Koi Pond Road, Georgetown in reference to a burglary report. Upon arrival, Troopers met with the homeowners who advised they were away on vacation since December 23, 2019 and when they returned to their residence, they found that it had been broken into and ransacked. The homeowners reported numerous collectable coins and jewelry missing along with multiple firearms.
On February 3, 2020 Maddox was taken into custody at the Sussex Family Court in Georgetown without incident. He was transported back to Troop 4 where he was charged with the following:
- Burglary Second Degree
- Theft (Felony)
- Theft of a Firearm
- Selling Stolen Property (Felony)
- Conspiracy Second Degree
- Falsifying Business Records
- Criminal Mischief
Maddox was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $12700.00 secured bond.
