*Update #2* Three Juveniles Arrested In Connection With Shooting-Felton

Felton-  The Delaware State Police have arrested three juvenile siblings in connection with the shooting incident that occurred on Sunday.

The incident occurred on January 19, 2020 at approximately 5:58 p.m., when Troopers were dispatched to the 1300 block of Barney Jenkins Road, Felton, for a report of multiple shots being fired.  It was learned that a 19-year-old female had been struck by gunfire and privately transported to a local area hospital.

Through further investigations three juveniles were identified as suspects, 16-year-old Lawrence Horsey, and 17-year-olds Jada Wyatte and Jaden N. Wyatte.  Horsey was identified as the male who was wearing a disguise, brandished a firearm and discharged multiple rounds.

All three suspects were taken into custody without incident on January 22, 2020 while at Family Court in Kent County.

Lawrence Horsey was charged with the following:

  • Attempted to Commit Murder First Degree
  • Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony
  • Possession of a Firearm by Prohibited Juvenile
  • Wearing a Disguise During the Commission of a Felony
  • Riot-Intent to Commit Facilitate Commission of Felony or Misdemeanor
  • Conspiracy Second Degree

Horsey was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and committed to the Stevenson House Detention Center on $821000.00 secured bond.

Jada Wyatte and Jaden Wyatte were charged with the following:

  • Riot-Intent to Commit Facilitate Commission of Felony or Misdemeanor
  • Conspiracy Second Degree

Both were arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and committed to the Stevenson House Detention Center on $5000.00 secured bond.

The case continues to remain under investigation by the Delaware State Police Troop 3, Major Crimes Unit.
