Magnolia, Delaware – The Delaware State Police have arrested Trancy D. Custis in connection with the theft of a motor vehicle, multiple thefts from vehicles, drugs, and other related charges.
On December 11, 2019, Delaware State Police Troop 3, Camden began investigating a rash of thefts from unsecured vehicles. These thefts occurred during the overnight hours in Magnolia. During one of these incidents, the victim unknowingly left the vehicle ignition key inside of the unsecured vehicle, which resulted in the vehicle being stolen. During the investigation, the victim’s stolen vehicle was located in Magnolia on December 18, 2019. The investigation determined Trancy D. Custis, 37 of Magnolia, to be a person of interest. On December 20, 2019, Custis was located and transported to Troop 3, Camden and through investigative measures determined him as the suspect. He was also in possession of heroin baggies weighing .035 grams.
Trancy D. Custis, 37 of Magnolia, was processed and charged with the following crimes:
He was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and released on a $9,500.00 unsecured bond.
