Traffic Stop Leads to Drug and Weapon Charges- Bridgeville

Bridgeville– The Delaware State Police have arrested 23-year-old Alondra Santiago of Lincoln, DE and 23-year-old Wenndalon Green of Milford, DE after a traffic stop led to the discovery of a weapon and drugs.

The incident occurred on November 26, 2019 at approximately 8:13 p.m., when a Trooper observed a gray Honda Accord traveling above the posted speed limit on Coverdale Road south of Seashore Highway, Bridgeville.  A traffic stop was initatied and contact was made with the driver, Alondra Santiago and passenger Wenndalon Green, who were not wearing their seatbelts.  Upon contact, the Trooper immediately observed a firearm in plain view.  Also in the vehicle was the occupants’ 7 month old child who was not properly restrained.  Santiago and Green initially provided the Trooper with a false name.  A computer inquiry revealed that Green had active capias for traffic violations.

A subsequent search of the vehicle was conducted and the following was located:

  • Approximately 33.63 grams of marijuana
  • Approximately 31.97 grams of THC

Santiago and Green were taken into custody without incident and transported back to Troop 5 where they were charged with the following:

Alondra Santiago:

  • Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
  • Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon A Firearm
  • Provide false statement to Law Enforcement
  • Conspiracy Second Degree
  • Endangering the Welfare of a Child
  • Possession of Marijuana
  • Speeding
  • Driver must wear properly adjusted and fastened seatbelt
  • Driver of Motor Vehicle Shall Properly Secure all Passengers
  • Child Under 8 must be in Child Restraint

Santiago was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and released on $35400.00 unsecured bond.

Wenndalon Green

  • Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
  • Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon A Firearm
  • Provide false statement to Law Enforcement
  • Conspiracy Second Degree
  • Endangering the Welfare of a Child

Green was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and released on $44000.00 unsecured bond.
