Dover- The Delaware State Police have arrested 19-year-old Daevon C. Stratton for aggravated menacing.

The incident occurred on November 13, 2019, at approximately 12:02 p.m., when Troopers were dispatched to the unit block of Carlisle Drive, Carlisle Village, Dover, in reference to an aggravated menacing complaint.   Upon arrival, Troopers met with a 29-year-old male victim who advised that Stratton was outside of his girlfriend’s residence which is next door to the victim.  Stratton was in his vehicle, honking the horn for approximately 30 minutes.  The victim and a 27-year-old female victim, went outside to ask Stratton to stop honking the horn, when Stratton proceeded to the truck of his vehicle and obtained what appeared to be a black assault rifle.  Stratton pointed the weapon at the victims and threatened them.  Stratton left the area prior to police arrival.  The victims did not sustain injury as a result of this incident.

Troopers located Stratton a short time later outside of his residence in Kentwood Mobile Home Park.  Stratton was taken into custody without incident and found in possession of approximately 9.68 grams of marijuana.

Stratton was transported back to Troop 9 where he was charged with the following:

  • Aggravated Menacing (2 counts)
  • Possession of Marijuana

Stratton was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and released on $10100.00 unsecured bond.
