Troopers Arrest Three Teenagers for Multiple Vehicle Break-ins – Kent County

Dover-  The Delaware State Police Criminal Investigations Unit (CIU) have arrested three teenagers from Dover, DE in connection with a rash of vehicle break-ins.

In the beginning of October, 2019, Troop 3 (CIU) began investigating numerous vehicle break-ins from the Tamarac Development and surrounding areas in Dover.  The thefts were sporadic and occurred to unsecured vehicles.  During an incident on October 21, 2019 a silver Jeep Patriot was taken from a residence and later recovered at the McDonald’s located at 1704 E. Lebanon Road, Dover.  There was numerous stolen property from the Tamarac Development and Quails Landing located inside the vehicle.

Through investigative measures, three suspects were identified, 17-year-old Naikeir Ellis, 17-year-old Felipe Goicuria and 15-year-old Taron Marsh. Ellis was taken into custody on November 2, 2019 and Goicuria and Marsh were taken into custody on November 5, 2019.  All three suspects were charged with the following:

  • Acquire or Obtain Possession of a Controlled Substance by Theft (Felony)
  • Conspiracy Third Degree (4 counts)
  • Theft (3 counts)
  • Attempted Theft
  • Tampering With a Vehicle (4 counts)
  • Criminal Trespass (4 counts)

All three suspects were arraigned before the Kent County Family Court and committed to the Stevenson House Detention Center.
