Date Posted: Wednesday, September 11th, 2019

Magnolia– The Delaware State Police have arrested 33 year old Robert Rainey of Felton, for his role in the robbery of a Magnolia convenience store that occurred last night.

The incident occurred at approximately 9:38 p.m., Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at Ernie’s Country Store, located at 1246 Peachtree Run, Magnolia. Three suspects, with their faces concealed, approached an employee at the sales counter and demanded cash. The suspects then removed an undisclosed amount of cash from the register, and tobacco products from the display, before exiting the business and fleeing in an unknown direction. The victim was not injured as a result of the incident.

Through investigative means Rainey was developed as a suspect, and taken into custody without incident at a residence in the 100 block of Highland Court, located in the Canterbury Crossing MHP, Felton.
