Newark – The Delaware State Police are currently on scene of a serious motor vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 11:48 a.m., Tuesday, August 27, 2019 on DE Rt. 72 (S. Chapel St.) northbound, just north of Old Baltimore Pike (entrance to Royal Farms).
The crash is involving two vehicles and one of the operators was transported the Christiana Hospital with serious injuries.
As a result of the crash and ongoing investigation all lanes of Rt. 72 northbound are closed in the area of Old Baltimore Pike. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes of travel.
