Troopers Arrest Camden Wyoming Man for Burglaries- Kent County

Kent County- The Delaware State Police have arrest a Camden Wyoming man in connection with multiple burglaries.

The Delaware State Police recently arrested 56-year-old Mark T. Long in connection with multiple thefts of aluminum concrete forms from homes under construction.  Through further investigations, it was determined that Long was also responsible for two separate burglaries, one occurring in the 2900 block of Mud Mill Road, Camden Wyoming, and the other in the 5400 block of Sandy Bend Road, Marydel, between May 13, 2019 and April 15, 2019.  Both residences sustained damage and appeared to be vacant or under construction during the time of the incidents.

On July 17, 2019,  Troop 3 Criminal Investigation Unit (CIU) executed a search warrant at Mark Long’s residence located in the 3400 block of Mud Mill Road, Camden Wyoming. During the search, detectives located approximately $7,100.00 worth of stolen property from both burglaries. Additionally, it was determined that some of the stolen property was pawned at a local pawn shop.

On July 23, 2019, Long turned himself in at Troop 3 where he was charged with the following:

  • Burglary Third Degree (2 counts)
  • Theft (Felony) (2 counts)
  • Theft By False Pretense
  • Falsifying Business Records
  • Selling Stolen Property
  • Criminal Mischief (2 counts)

Long was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $2,800.00 secured bond.
