Wilmington – The Delaware State Police have charged 32 year old Brandon Wolski of Bear with multiple offenses stemming from an overnight burglary spree that occurred this past Wednesday, involving multiple businesses along the Rt. 202/Naaman’s Rd. corridor, as well as one on Kennett Pike in Greenville.
At approximately 1:46 a.m., on Wednesday, July 3, 2019, Troopers responded to an alarm activation at the Helzberg Diamonds jewelry store, located at 5600 Concord Pike. Upon arrival they discovered that a window to the business had been smashed out and that multiple display cases inside the business had also been broken into. No suspects were located at the time of the initial response. A representative from the business confirmed that a large quantity of merchandise had been taken.
Over the course of the next few hours Troopers responded to five additional businesses in which windows had been smashed out, in a similar nature to the Helzberg Diamonds incident. In two of the additional incidents, entry was successfully made and property was taken and in the three others, damage was done to the business however it was determined that entry was not made. In addition to the burglaries, Troopers also investigated a criminal mischief incident in which the windows of a parked vehicle were smashed out with a baseball bat. The initial investigation was able to determine that this incident was associated to the burglaries.
Through a variety of investigative leads and measures, detectives developed a late model Kia Sorrento with an unknown Delaware tag as a suspect vehicle. Further investigation confirmed the registration of the vehicle which was positively linked to Wolski.
On Friday, July 5 detectives located Wolski at his residence in the 700 block of Huckleberry Dr. in Bear, where he was taken on to custody without incident. The Kia was also located at the residence. A subsequent search of the Kia and of Wolski’s residence produced evidence further linking him to the burglaries. Wolski was transported to Troop 2 where he was charged with following:

Wolski was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court #2 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution in lieu of $31,000.00 secured bail.
