Greenwood- The Delaware State Police have arrested a Milford woman after she was involved in a single vehicle crash.
The incident occurred on June 29, 2019 at approximately 9:46 p.m., when Troopers were dispatched to Shawnee Road, at Harvest Lane, Greenwood for a vehicle overturned. Upon arrival, Troopers made contact with the driver, 53-year-old Patricia J. Prettyman, when an odor of alcohol was detected and a DUI investigation ensued. A computer check revealed that Prettyman had four previous DUI convictions, making this her fifth offense.
There were two passengers in the vehicle including an adult male and his 11-year-old son. Prettyman and the two passengers were transported to the Bayhealth Sussex Campus. The 11-year-old child was later transported to the A.I. DuPont Hospital with serious injuries.
Prettyman was released from the hospital and transported back to Troop 5 where she was charged with the following:
Prettyman was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and committed to The Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on $20,201.00 cash only bond.
