Salena Timmons ARRESTED

Ellendale, Delaware – The Delaware State Police are investigating a domestic-related incident that led to a stabbing.

The initial investigation has determined the incident occurred on Friday, June 21, 2019, at approximately 6:52 p.m., when troopers were dispatched to the 12,000 block of Piney Branch Road, Ellendale for an initial report of a domestic involving a stabbing. The victim, a 26-year-old male of Maryland, and ex-boyfriend arrived at the residence to pick up his son, two-month-old, from his mother, Salena Timmons. The victim left with his son and later returned back to the residence to drop off the baby when a verbal altercation ensued between them. It turned physical and his ex-girlfriend and mother of the child, Salena Timmons, retrieved a kitchen knife from the residence and stabbed him in the back right shoulder blade as he was attempting to gain the grandmother’s attention through a window. The victim was able to get inside the residence and lock the door so that she could not get back inside with the knife. A family member then called 9-1-1 to report the stabbing.

Ellendale EMS was requested and provided medical attention to the victim but he refused to be transported to the Bayhealth Hospital at Milford.

Salena Timmons, 19 of Ellendale, was then transported back to Troop 7 where she was processed and charged with Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Course of a Felony, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and Assault 2nd degree. Timmons was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and committed to the Department of Correction on $71,000.00 secured bond.
