Troopers Arrest Two Camden Wyoming Men for Theft-Camden

Camden- The Delaware State Police have arrested two suspects in connection with a theft of a trailer.

The incident occurred on June 6, 2019 at approximately 3:15 a.m., when Troopers observed two suspicious vehicles on a property located in the 400 block of Todd’s Mill Road.  Troopers observed one of the vehicles, a blue Dodge Ram pulling a large white enclosed trailer with improper tail lights.  A traffic stop was initiated and contact was made with the operator, identified as 56-year-old Mark T. Harris of Camden Wyoming.  It was learned that Harris had a suspended driver’s license and active capias.  Harris was taken into custody without incident.  The second suspicious vehicle had left the scene prior to police contact.

Through further investigations, it was determined that the utility trailer was stolen from the property on Todd’s Mill Road.  Further investigative measures were taken, and contact was made with the driver of the second vehicle that had left the scene, identified as 52-year-old Richard M. Walls of Camden Wyoming.

Harris was transported back to Troop 3 where he was charged with the following:

  • Remove Warranty/ Cert Sticker, VIN Plate
  • Theft (Felony)
  • Conspiracy Second Degree (Felony)
  • Criminal Trespass
  • Driving While Suspended
  • Improper Tail Lights
  • Other Traffic Related Offenses

Harris was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $3106.00 cash only bond.

Walls turned himself in at Troop 3 where he was charged with the following:

  • Theft (Felony)
  • Conspiracy Second Degree (Felony)
  • Criminal Trespass

Walls was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and released on $4500.00 unsecured bond.
