Troopers Arrest Virginia Man for Aggravated Menacing – Woodside

Woodside, Delaware – The Delaware State Police have arrested a Virginia man after he threatened three individuals with a firearm.

The incident occurred on Saturday, June 1, 2019, at approximately 1:10 a.m., when troopers were dispatched to the parking lot of Green Stinger Sports Bar and Grill located in the Woodside Plaza for a report of a subject threatening people with a firearm. During the investigation, it was determined an altercation occurred in the parking lot involving several subjects and the suspect, Cameron Houck pointed a handgun at the victim’s placing them in imminent fear of physical injury. It was also determined during the investigation that Houck was intoxicated from alcoholic beverages. The handgun was recovered from Houck and seized as evidence. He was subsequently taken into custody without incident.

Houck was transported back to Troop 3 where he was charged with the following:

  • Possession of a Firearm While Under the Influence
  • Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
  • Aggravated Menacing (3 counts)

Houck was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and issued a no-contact order and preliminary hearing scheduled.
