Investigation Leads to Drug Arrest-Millsboro/Rehoboth Beach

Millsboro/Rehoboth Beach–  The Delaware State Police have arrested two Millsboro men following a month long investigation into the distribution of illegal drugs.

On May 16, 2019 members of the Sussex Drug Unit (SDU) and the Governor’s Task Force (GTF) concluded a month long investigation into the distribution of methamphetamine. The investigation revealed that 55-year-old Daniel Tozzolo and 45-year-old Roger Jones were storing and distributing quantities of methamphetamine from their residence, in the 34000 block of Morning Side Drive, Pot Nets Creekside, Millsboro.  Detectives also learned that Tozzolo was temporarily renting a room at the American Inn and Suites located at 36012 Airport Road, Rehoboth Beach for the purposes of distributing methamphetamine.  A search and seizure warrant was obtained for both locations and the following were recovered:

  • 38.89 grams of crystal methamphetamine
  • 9.22 grams of marijuana
  • 63 various prescription pills
  • Over $700.00 in suspected drug proceeds
  • Multiple Drug Paraphernalia Items

Tozzole and Jones were taken into custody in the area of the American Inn and Suites without incident and transported back to Troop 4.

Tozzole was charged with the following:

  • Possession of a controlled substance in a tier 5 quantity
  • Possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance (2 counts)
  • Maintaining a drug property
  • Conspiracy second degree
  • Possession of marijuana
  • Possession of a controlled substance
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

Tozzole was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $72500.00 cash only bond.

Jones was charged with the following:

  • Possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance
  • Maintaining a drug property
  • Conspiracy second degree
  • Possession of a controlled substance
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

Jones was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $15400.00 secured bond.
