*UPDATE-Suspect Apprehended* Troopers Attempting to Locate Burglary Suspect – Georgetown

Millsboro – The Delaware State Police with assistance from officers from the Millsboro Police Department have apprehended 28 year old Joshua C. Shockley of Georgetown, who was wanted in connection with a residential burglary that occurred on Friday, May 11, 2019, at a residence in the 20000 block of Kings Hwy., Georgetown.

On Sunday, May 12, 2019 at approximately 12:14 p.m., officers from the Millsboro Police Department received information that Shockley was occupying a silver KIA which was parked in the lot of the Wawa, located on DuPont Blvd., in the city limits of Millsboro. Responding Millsboro officers, assisted by Troopers out of Troop 4, located Shockley in the Wawa parking lot and took him in to custody without incident.

Shockley was arraigned on the below listed charges and then committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution in lieu of $40,500.00 secured bail.

  • Burglary 3rd Degree
  • Theft under $1500.00 (2 counts)
  • Criminal Mischief
  • Theft by False Pretense (10 counts)
  • Falsifying Business Records (11 counts)
  • Selling Stolen Property (10 counts)
