Troopers Arrest New Castle Man Following Restaurant Robbery – Claymont

Claymont, Delaware – The Delaware State Police have arrested 18 year old, Jamiroquai Q. Malloy of New Castle in connection with an armed robbery that occurred at approximately 10:35 p.m., Friday, March 22, 2019 at the Arby’s restaurant located at 2719 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, Delaware.

The initial investigation began in March when troopers were called to the Arby’s restaurant for a report of a robbery. Upon their arrival, responding troopers were advised that a male suspect had entered the business and proceeded to display an unknown make and model handgun while confronting two employees. He then demanded and received an undisclosed amount of money before exiting the business and fleeing in an unknown direction. There were no injuries.

The armed suspect has not yet been identified however the investigation remains active and ongoing. He is described as a light skin black male wearing all black, black hooded jacket, sunglasses, and armed with a handgun.

Through various investigative measures, detectives determined one of the employees, Jamiroquai Q. Malloy was also involved with the robbery. On April 23, 2019, Jamiroquai Malloy was charged with both Robbery 1st Degree and Conspiracy 2nd degree. He was arraigned before Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released on $6000 unsecured bail.
