Wilmington – The Delaware State Police are investigating an armed robbery that took place in the parking lot of a Wilmington area motel Monday night.
The incident occurred at approximately 8:58 p.m., Monday, April 1, 2019 in the parking lot of the Fairview Inn, located at 1051 S. Market St., Wilmington. A 53 year old male was removing property from his vehicle which was parked lot when he was approached from behind by an unknown male suspect. The suspect pushed the male up against the vehicle and stuck an object in his back, which the victim believed to be a weapon, and then demanded money. A second male suspect then approached and rifled through the victim’s vehicle. Both suspect’s fled after obtaining an undetermined amount of cash from the victim. The victim was not injured as a result of the incident.
Suspect #1 was described as a black male, 50 years of age, 5’10”, 150 lbs., possibly in possession of a handgun.
Suspect #2 was described as a black male, light complexion, 20-25 years of age.
