New Castle – The Delaware State Police are investigating the attempted knife-point robbery of a New Castle area cellular phone store that took place late Sunday morning.
The incident occurred at approximately 11:46 a.m., Sunday, March 10, 2019 at the Metro PCS store located at 210 New Castle Avenue. A male suspect entered the business brandishing a knife and walked to the counter where the cash register was located and demanded money. The employee refused his commands and the suspect fled the business running north-bound along New Castle Avenue. The suspect did not obtain any cash or property and the employee was not injured as a result of the incident.
The suspect was described as a hispanic male, 5’08”-6’02” tall, 150-160 lbs., wearing a hooded jacket, dark colored pants armed with a knife.
