Seaford- The Delaware State Police have arrested two suspects on burglary charges.
The incident occurred on October 30, 2018, when Troopers responded to a residence in the 9000 block of Easter Lane for a report of a burglary. Upon arrival, Troopers made contact with the homeowner who advised that her residence had been burglarized and the intruder(s) forced entry through a rear basement door. Once inside the suspect(s) stole multiple items including a flat screen television, Xbox gaming console, and multiple computer tablets.
Through further investigations, Troopers were able to identify two suspects, 28-year-old Matthew R. Windsor of Seaford and 26-year-old Destiny R. Thomas of Seaford.
On January 25, 2019, Windsor turned himself in at Troop 4 and was charged with the following:
- Burglary Second Degree Dwelling
- Conspiracy Second Degree
- Theft Under $1500
- Criminal Mischief
Windsor was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court 3 and released on $3,600.00 unsecured bond.
On February 17, 2019 at approximately 10:00 a.m., Troopers located Thomas at a residence in the 24000 block of Concord Pond Road. Thomas initially provided Troopers with a false name and was subsequently taken into custody without incident. Thomas was also wanted out of Troop 7 for a burglary incident that occurred on October 23, 2018 to a residence in the 20440 Wil King Road, Lewes. In this incident, Thomas forced her way into the residence through a window and once inside she took an Apple Iphone 7 and fled the scene. Thomas was transported back to Troop 5 where she was charged with the following:
- Burglary Second Degree Dwelling (2 counts)
- Theft Under $1500 Where a Victim is 62 Years of Age
- Criminal Mischief Under $1000 (2 counts)
- Conspiracy Second Degree
- Theft Under $1500
Thomas was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court 3 and committed to the Delores J. Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on $21,500.00 secured bond.
