Frederica- The Delaware State Police have arrested a Felton man after he was found to be under the influence and in possession of a stolen firearm early this morning.
The incident occurred on January 6, 2019 at approximately 2:15 a.m. when Troopers were dispatched to the unit block of Third Street, in reference to a report of a domestic. Prior to arriving at the residence, Troopers were advised that one subject had fled the scene in a white Audi. A vehicle matching this description was observed leaving the High Point Park neighborhood traveling on Buffalo Road. A traffic stop was initiated and contact was made with the driver, 20-year-old William H. Cloak 4th of Felton. Upon contact with Cloak, a strong odor of marijuana was detected. A search of the vehicle was conducted and a Glock .40 caliber handgun was discovered under the driver’s seat. The handgun’s serial number appeared to be obliterated. A computer inquiry revealed that Cloak was a person prohibited from carrying a firearm. It was also discovered that the firearm had been reported stolen.
Cloak was taken into custody without incident and transported back to Troop 3 where a DUI investigation ensued.

Cloak was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court 7 and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $16,700.00 secured bond.
