Troopers Arrest Two for Operating Meth Lab – Clayton

Clayton- The Delaware State Police have arrested two suspects for operating a methamphetamine lab at a residence in Clayton.

On Monday, December 17, 2018 at approximately 9:30 p.m., members of the Governor’s Task Force (GTF) responded to a residence in the 600 block of Hopewell Drive to execute a search warrant.  One of the suspects, 41-year-old , Kerri L. Davenport was in the process of leaving the residence when she was taken into custody after a motor vehicle stop without incident.  The second suspect, 46-year-old Robert S. Robinson was located inside the residence and taken into custody without incident.

While the search warrant was being executed, GTF members discovered methamphetamine in the kitchen and a bedroom.  A search of the kitchen revealed a one pot methamphetamine manufacturing lab in the oven.  The residence was evacuated and members of the Delaware State Police Kent County Drug Unit, the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC), and the Little Creek Fire Department were contacted to assist with the investigation.

The following items were seized:

  •  approximately .21 grams of methamphetamine
  • 6 .5 mg clonazepam pills
  • approximately 2.15 grams of marijuana
  • 1 suboxone strip

The components used to manufacture methamphetamine, along with key ingredients in making the drug were safely collected and seized. Both suspects were transported back to Troop 3.

Davenport was charged with the following:

  • Unlawfully Operating a Clandestine Laboratory
  • Conspiracy Second Degree
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance (2 counts)
  • Possession of Marijuana

Davenport was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court 7 and released on $5,750.00 unsecured bond.

Robinson was charged with the following:

  • Unlawfully Operating a Clandestine Laboratory
  • Conspiracy Second Degree
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance (2 counts)

Robinson was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court 7 and released on $5,700.00 unsecured bond.
