Troopers Investigating Attempted Robbery of New Castle Liquor Store

New Castle – The Delaware State Police are investigating the attempted robbery of a New Castle area liquor store that took place Wednesday night.

The incident occurred at approximately 9:58 p.m., Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Collins Park Liquors, located at 226 New Castle Avenue. A suspect with his face concealed approached an employee at the sales counter, implied he had a weapon and demanded cash. The employee refused to comply with the demand at which time the suspect exited the business and fled on foot in an unknown direction. The suspect did not obtain any cash or property and the employee was not injured as a result of the incident.

The suspect was described as a black male, wearing all dark clothing to include a cloth concealing his face.
