Frankford- The Delaware State Police have arrested a Frankford Man in connection with a burglary and an attempted burglary of a residence.
On Friday, August 17, 2018, at approximately 11:26 a.m., Troopers were dispatched to the 57000 block of Lizzard Hill Road for a possible burglary in progress. A witness had provided police with a description of a suspect who was attempting enter the front door of the residence and fled on a blue beach cruiser style bike. While Troopers searched the area, they located 30-year-old Cody L. Daisey, riding a bicycle on Central Avenue and Old Cemetery Church Road. As Troopers approached Daisey, he began to flee on his bike, and when he reached a grassy area, he got off the bike and began to flee on foot. A brief foot pursuit ensued and Daisey was subsequently taken into custody without incident. Troopers located a socket wrench and drug paraphernalia on his person.
Daisey was transported back to Troop 4, where it was later learned that on December 13, 2016, he had entered a residence on the 35000 block of Bayard Road, Frankford, through an unsecured door. No items were taken during this incident.
Daisey was charged with the following:
- Burglary Second Degree
- Attempt to Commit Burglary Second Degree
- Possession of Burglar Tools
- Attempt to Commit Theft (2 counts)
- Resisting Arrest
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Daisey was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court 3 and released after posting $26,500.00 secured bond.
