Newark – The Delaware State Police are currently on scene of a large amount of debris in the roadway.
As a result of debris consisting of a large amount of lumber and other materials in the roadway, southbound DE Route 1 in the area of Christiana Mall (Exit 164) has multiple lane closures. There is a single lane that is getting by at this time.
Expect heavy delays in the area and seek alternate routes of the travel.
