Troopers Investigate Robbery of Citizen’s Bank

Hockessin, DE- Delaware State Police are currently investigating the robbery of a Hockessin area bank that occurred last evening.

The initial investigation has determined the incident happened on Friday, August 19, 2016, at approximately 5:53 p.m., as a male suspect entered the Citizen’s Bank located inside the Acme Supermarket at 128 Lantana Drive, Hockessin (Lantana Shopping Center). The suspect presented a demand note to the teller, implied that he was armed, and demanded money from the cash drawer.  The bank teller complied with the suspect’s demands and turned over an undisclosed amount of money to him. The suspect then fled the bank and was last observed fleeing on foot in a northerly direction in the shopping center parking lot. There were no injuries.

The suspect is described as a white male, 6’00 to 6’02” tall, weighs 160-180 lbs, 25-35 years old, wearing a long sleeve gray, white and black plaid shirt. The video surveillance photos are attached.
