Troopers Investigate Pretzel Shop Robbery

Wilmington, DE- Delaware State Police are investigating the robbery of a Wilmington area pretzel shop that occurred early yesterday afternoon.

The incident occurred on Saturday, August 13, 2016, at approximately 2:07 p.m., as a male suspect entered the Philly Pretzel Factory, located at 1718 Naamans Road, Wilmington. The suspect responded to the rear of the sales counter and proceeded to push a female employee out of the way. He then reached into the open cash register and removed an undisclosed amount of money from the cash drawer. The suspect, who did not display or imply that he was armed, then exited the business and entered into a dark colored unknown make and model vehicle. He then exited the parking lot and was last seen fleeing in an eastbound direction on Naamans Road. There were no injuries.

The suspect was described as a white male, 20-25 years of age. He was approximately 6’00” tall, had a thin build, and was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, dark colored shorts, and a dark hat. There is no further physical or clothing description available at this time. No video surveillance photos are available to be released at this time.
