Troopers Investigate Shooting Southwest of Seaford

Seaford – Troopers are investigating a shooting that sent one victim to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The incident happened around 12:15 a.m., Friday July 1, 2016, after the Sussex County Emergency Operations Center (9-1-1) received a call in reference to shots being fired in the 5600 block of Byard Ave. Troopers arrived at the residence and found a 38-year-old female with a single gunshot wound to her upper torso.  The victim was airlifted to an area hospital where she was being treated for the non-life-threatening injury.

The investigation into this incident is on-going and no suspect information could be provided.
