– The
Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is
investigating an early morning crash that claimed the life
of a 26-year-old Magnolia woman.
Police
responded to the crash at 12:55 am this morning on Peachtree
Run south of Lochmeath Way just south of Camden after it was
reported a car stuck a tree. Investigators learned a 2002
Pontiac Grand Prix, operated by Quinisha J. Evans, 26 of
Magnolia, was traveling southbound on Peachtree Run when it
entered a left curve too fast and drove off the west edge of
the roadway striking a tree with its front bumper.
Ms. Evans, who
was the sole occupant in the vehicle, was killed on impact.
She was not wearing her seatbelt and alcohol is a factor in
this collision. The roadway was shut down for approximately
two hrs as investigators examined the crash scene.
