State Police Probe Dover Robbery

Dover – The Delaware State Police are investigating a robbery that occurred early this morning at the Valero Gas Station and Convenience store located at 1612 S. DuPont Hwy, Dover.

 

Troopers responded to the 911 call at 12:18 am and learned that two suspects confronted a 36 year old store employee after she closed and locked the store and was walking to her vehicle in the parking lot. The suspects, of whom one was, armed with a handgun, demanded the clerk to reopen the store.

 

After complying with the robber’s demands, once inside the suspects removed several carton of cigarettes and other consumable goods. They were last seen fleeing on foot across US RT 13 in an eastward direction towards Dover Electric Supply. The clerk was not injured.

 

Both suspects were described as black males, between 5’10” and 6’ in height, thin builds, dressed in all black clothing. One was wearing a red bandanna covering his face and the other one had a dark colored hoodie covering his face.

 

Video surveillance has been obtained and is currently not available. Anyone with information regarding this crime is urged to call detectives at Troop #3 at 697.2104 ext. 503 or Crime Stoppers at 1.800.TIP.3333.
