Investigate February 7th Fatal Crash North of Seaford

Seaford-On
Thursday, February 7th, shortly before 8:00 p.m.,
Troop 5 patrol officers responded to the area of Briarhook Road
and Bloxom School Road for a reported serious injury crash
involving a single vehicle.
Upon arrival, Troopers learned
that a 1989 Toyota Cressida, operated by James White, 45, of
Bridgeville was traveling eastbound on Briarhook Road. A
further investigation revealed White failed to negotiate the
curve and left the roadway striking a tree.
White was wearing his seatbelt,
and was later airlifted to Christiana Hospital with life
threatening injuries. Drugs may have contributed to the crash.
Both roadways were shut down for
several hours while the investigators examined the scene.
On Thursday, February, 14th
White succumb to injuries sustained in the crash and was
pronounced dead at approximately 9:19 a.m. at Christiana
Hospital.
The crash remains under
investigation.
